Penny

Meet Penny!!!!! She landed in the Bedford Animal Shelter as a result of her scofflaw owner's unfortunate incarceration, and has since been released into our care.  Penny is spayed, heartworm negative, UTD on vax and on heartworm prevention and microchipped.  She has not met a stranger and in fact has changed the heart and mind of at least one animal lover who just happened to be a little on the uneasy side around dogs like Penny (don't believe the hype, we say!).  After meeting Penny, this woman not only has become a true believer in the wonderful attributes of Penny and her kind, but she also went so far as to make a lovely donation toward Penny's care!  Penny was tested with a somewhat reluctant kitty cat in the shelter, and she was interested in the cat, but not overly so.  She's about three years old and weighs 52 lbs.  The Chicks' assessment continues: "She now has a list of pawcomplishments a mile long that includes: natural born skater (one of the chicks who shall remain nameless skates with the dogs and found this girl is a natural); fearless rock climber; eager to meet new people and dogs (we are refining her doggie manners - she's very enthusiastic).  Penny is quite the show-stopper and she has a fantastic body wiggle (maybe the best in town).  We still have not heard this girl bark. And while Penny is truly loved by the vet staff who care for her, living in a boarding facility is not ideal. She truly needs a foster or forever home where she can finally get a taste of the good life all the time and have a family to call her own
